DogPaw is a Provo indie folk and indie alt-rock band — Velour Winter 2025 Battle of the Bands winners featured in BYU Daily Universe and Provo Music Magazine.

DogPaw is an indie band from Provo, Utah, formed in 2024 by friends who met on their missions in Fort Collins, Colorado. Garrett Bailey (vocals, bass), Neil Dalton (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jaden Haney (lead guitar), and Ethan Nielsen (drums) create atmospheric, story-driven songs built around real instruments, raw emotion, and cinematic build-ups.

The band cut their teeth on garage shows before spending months writing original music. They have performed at Velour Live Music Gallery, Kilby Court, and venues across the Wasatch Front. Fans often bark along at shows — a tradition that started with mission friends and became part of the DogPaw concert experience.

DogPaw won Velour’s Winter 2025 Battle of the Bands (night four and finals) and placed second at BYU’s Battle of the Bands. Singles “Willow” and “airplane” have drawn praise from Provo Music Magazine, and the band was profiled by BYU Daily Universe in March 2026.
